Run
Comments: Started out very very fast. Ruth decided she was going to try to push it in her first 5k, so, I just kept up with her. Started to fade at about mile 2.5, but kept it reasonably strong through to the end. It was a great day for a run, a little windy, but great. It was a nice small race, about 200 people total. I thought I had a good chance for a podium place, considering that there were only 3 40-49 men last year. So... What happened? My daughter and wife got first place in their division, and I got squat. It's amazing how easy it is to get first place when you're the only one racing in the division :) What would you do differently?: Need to practice to get faster on a 5k, and keep up the pace through the entire race. Event comments: A very nice small local 5k. It started on time, and was well organized. Lots of drinks at the end. A good time had by all. Last updated: 2008-05-04 12:00 AM

Woke up at 6:15, made Oakmeal. Got Ruth up, with some struggling. Something about her not wanting to wake up at 6:30. Drove to the race - got lost as usual. Sigh. But still got to the race by 7:30. I LOVE local races.
Mostly light stretching and trying to stay warm.
