Pre-race routine:

Coffee and cereal and get ready to go. C-cic and I rode our bikes down to the race this year, there was secure storage and we felt oh so green!

Walk around and visit and stretch just a little.

Comments:

Went out a bit too fast and HR was wayyyy high for the whole race. Best time ever though so it was lots of fun. Pretty spent at the end and hungry and thirsty.
What would you do differently?:

Drink more
Post race
Warm down:

Walk around, drink everything in sight, FRS, water,ice coffee, more water....rode bikes home, this was mostly uphill and the ole legs were complaining.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I didn't drink enough out on the course and wasn't really prepared for the warm temps.

Event comments:

I was able to be on the corporate cup team for work this year, I'm SO spoiled now!! It was a great time.

Hey Hey, TriMoot here.  Did Bloomsday too.  What a great day and a great race.

My goal was to do a sub 1:00:00 race and I did it!  Ran a 55:22, 7:25MPM race and felt great!  FINALLY!!!!  The best I've ever done was 1:07:?? so this was a BIG improvement. 

How did I get better?  I ran all through the winter for the 1st time and a LONG time.  What a difference it makes.  I came out during the spring in so much better shape that I've been in in a long time, so the 7.45 miles felt pretty easy.

My two new goals?  Troika & qualify for Boston 2009!! YIKES!!!
