Comments: I did my normal 4 min run, 1 min walk routine. I did that for about 25 minutes and finished running at the end. I was trying to break 30 minutes, and I did it! Post race
Warm down: Meander around again. Bagel, banana & water. What limited your ability to perform faster: No race pace training. I need to learn how to run faster and go longer without walking. Event comments: This is a very small, local race. Last year, this was my first 5K as I started my triathlon training, and I had to walk most of the way and finished in 41 minutes. It was nice to see my improvement over last year and be able to run most of the way this time. I had set a goal to break 30 minutes, and I did it, so I'm happy with this race.
