Only my 5th or 6th time on the bike for a distance over 10 miles because the weather was so crappy in April.
Transition 2

Comments:

This transition sucked. I have to figure this stuff out. Couldn't change out shoes well.

Comments:

Crappy crappy crappy. Legs were dead after bike even though I was doing bricks once a week since Feb. Should have been sub 7:00 easily.
What would you do differently?:

need to do more bike run bricks off the actual bike and not the stationary.
Post race
Event comments:

It was a blast even though the weather sucked. For my first Tri I learned a ton and will do better later.

Congratulations on your first race. That's a very respectable time for a first race, especially with those conditions. Like I'm sure you've seen in posts here, the first race is really about learning and having fun - or as much fun as a person can have being wet, and blown around in a strong 40 degree wind. Nice swim and run times... and I feel you on the run.

Once again, congratulations. Hope to see you there next year.
