Subject: Canadian coming down to St. Louis

Hey there, I'm going to St. Louis for a conference next week and was wondering if anyone 1) had any tips on bike rental shops that cater to the downtown area, 2) had any great scenic run routes around the city or 3) want to get together for the above mentioned activities. Any help to narrow down my searches would be great and as I'm only in town for a week I'd love to get the most out of my trip. Unbelievably it seems there are no sporting events or any major interesting things going on. Any ideas? I'd love to ditch work for some R&R instead! Thanks again for any input.

Chris

The Tragically Hip are playing at a small venue (300 people) on the 18th. And its St. Louis so nobody knows who they are. Great chance to see them without 20,000 of your neighbors.

sorry, but this is just a cruel joke. that said, I did get to see them here back in 1998 in front of 300 people.

i'll go ahead and assume you drink beer, like a good Canadian. i always like the Budweiser brewery tour, myself.  can't go wrong with some free carbohydrate replentishment beverages!

If you're a fan of beer, why would you be referencing Budweiser?  We were thinking of dong the tour, there is a HUGE difference between Canadian and US beer. You guys have a tonne of preservatives in your booze. But thanks for the suggestion all the same.

After the brewery tour, hit the Schlafly bottleworks or original Tap Room for some good beer.

Thanks for all the tips people, I've rented a bike from Little Shark and have a bunch of different routes planned out around the ol'missiissiippii (correct sp?) so if anyone wishes to come on out, feel free to PM me for my number. I'm going out for moderate rides on the 20th and 21st.
