I'm in for the 56, and my coach wants me to piggyback that with the 31 right after it, if anyone is interested in a longer ride but not the full 112.

What no brick run, jeez

I'm thinking about putting "BT" & "Donto" in permanent marker on my arms and calfs.  Say Hi if you see me!

well shoot! I wish I payed closer attention. But not many are posting here. There are multiple parking lots. So how about this-

there is the registration table, and near there will be coffee and stuff I'm sure.

I will be wearing a white Ironman Kentucky visor and a blue and yellow jersey. I will have a BT on my calf.

this is me on the right.

I will look for you, as I'm sure I won't be far from the coffee...but I"m really bad with names AND faces but I look just live my avatar...except my hair is actually fairly blonde and far too long to manage...I'll be with a dude who isn't much taller than I and has short blonde hair as well...I'm not sure what I'll have on, but definitely my PINK sunglasses.

So tell me more about the coffee!!  Do they have food before the ride as well???  I need to get my $29 worth, or whatever the ridiculously low entry fee was.

Coffee, I have to hydrate with coffee in the mornings!  I'll look around too, I'll have on my UF Gators bike jersey.  I figure that we'll be arriving around 6:30 or so.

BTW, do the restroom facilities by the lake have showers in them?  I can't remember as the last time I was there was in the Spring of 06 for the TriAmerica LC race.

I'll be sporting some IM Louisville gear; either the tri top or the bike jersey.

So what did everyone think? Hot enough for everyone? By mile 30 I was ready to call it a day but felt much better by mile 60. Those hills from 90-105 were really unnecessary.

it was HOT!!!!  Wow was it HOT!!  And we live in HOT   It seemed the last 40 miles were the hardest...and they were flat.  But windy.  And HOT, as it was getting late by then.  Sorry we never met up with any of ya, but there was NO COFFEE!!!!

That was a good time!  I thought 'the wall' or whatever it's called before Sugarloaf was the hardest climb.  SL was good  actually enjoyed it, and the 'sisters' were a nice tease.  Last 15 miles are so heading back in with the rollers were killing a lot of people.  And yes it was hot.

We got there late but I was able to run into 'flyinfree' (aka Todd) at the 1st SAG station, nice to meet you man! Mimir98, you weren't the only one wearing pink sunglasses!

I felt pretty good at the end so I went for a 2 mile brick run after I put my gear away Tongue out, now that was HOT!

I'm going to have to make it a point to head over there for a ride at least once every 2 months, we have nothing like that on the coast.

Till next time...

I'm going to have to make it a point to head over there for a ride at least once every 2 months, we have nothing like that on the coast.

I agree...thinking I should head up more often, as our only hills are the few bridges going over intercoastals, which are not hills....at all!!!  I don't do Dew, but would have loved a cold coke at many points during the ride.  I got a killer cramp at mile 110 and just wanted them to chop my leg off to make it stop!   I consumed 4 - 1.5 hour/20 oz bottles of infinit, 120+ oz of water, 6 gels a few fig newtons, a few donuts....then after had 20 oz of endurox, 60 more oz of water, about 20 oz of OJ and one beer...I never peed during the ride, and didn't pee until I got home about 8pm last night.  Guess I should have drank more??????!!!!!!

Today, I can say it was fun.  Yesterday?  heh.  Cool

Not sure where all yall came from but from the Tampa area, San Antonio is alot closer and has some decent hills.  Every Sat, there are lots of riders out there.  A group that I ride with is going to do 30 miles there this Sat.

If I take the Suncoast up to he 50 and come out, would I be near the ride? That's puts me 2 hours in before I get there though.

how fast ya gunna go?

for 30, I can maaaaaaybe hand at 20, but it'll hurt! OF course it hurts! It's IRONMAN!!!!

I have the Horrible 100 as a TBD, so just maybe we'll all be there again.

I got the email that the pix are up, here I thought a little celebration was needed!
