Tomorrow (May 19) marks the first Subaru event of the season! Looks like the rain will be out of the way which is good..... Anyone doing it?

What are your other events planned for this season?

Come on BTer's lets hear from you!

"(these are all HSBC series races... trying them this year... I did Subaru last year)"

Hey Kevin,

I did alot of HSBC races last year and really like them because they cater to the participants; have great food (and don't run out) and spend alot of time on the awards ceremonies for all age groups. The only downside is they seem to mess up their distances alot, but it keeps you on your toes. I think it is nice to mix the 2 series up.

My race schedue so far is:
Vancouver-June 6th (Sprint)
Guelph Lake I - June 21 (maybe a try-a-try) getting home June 18th.
Gravenhurst Sprint - July 13th?
Owen Sound Olympic - August 4th
Orillia Sprint - mid August

P.S. Thanks for the help with the hills.

Hey tristar!

SO, what races have you got on the agenda this summer? REALLY hope we get to connect on a few of them.

How was the Du today? Looked awful cold and windy to me. I think I'll stick to the tri's.

Hey latestarter!

Du was SOOOOOO cold, windy and very bitter. Although only a spectator and picture taker/cheering on person today, it was cold. It even hailed in Kitchener this afternoon. I think ALL racers deserve a medal for coming out and competing in that. BRAVO to all of you! You truly are all champions competing in those conditions! I know I shouldn't complain because before you know it, we will have the heat and humidity of the summer. Not so good for racing!

My events planned are: Lakeside June 7 (sprint), Guelph Lake 1 June 21 (sprint) , Gravenhurst July 13 (sprint), Owen Sound Aug 3 (sprint) and Guelph Lake 2 Aug 30 (sprint).

Looks like some of us are planning the same events. We should meet up and introduce ourselves!

Happy Training!

Soooo,

I did Victoria's Du yesterday...quite possibly the worst conditions I've been in...on the upside, placed better than last year even with the poor weather

other events are:

Lakeside (sprint Du)
Brinbrook (sprint Du)
Barry's Bay Duathlon (possibly)
Guelph Lake II (sprint Du)

I skipped Victoria's du this year as it always seems to be cold and windy that weekend. Right now I'm praying that Kelso warms up in the next 10 days or that will be a really cold swim.
