Subject: Reston Sprint Triathlon
For those of you that may be interested, a few of us are going to bike and then run (optional) the Reston course this Sunday at 6AM (before traffic). We will have both first timers and experienced triathletes so feel free to come out, meet some other people doing the race and get to know the course.

Wife and I are trying to figure out if we can get anyone to watch the kids that early. If not then one of us should be there.

At the Lake Newport Pool - it is where the race starts and where the bike and run start.

Given that we have 23 members coming to this race - I suggest we get together for a group photo op so that it can be posted on the bt banner. Who wouldn't want to see our pretty faces?  We can meet before or after the race next to the tennis court if interested. Thoughts on this?

Since the race will start at 6:45 for some, we could meet at 6:30am by the pool and take a shot and then get a second shot after the last BTer finishes. Just a thought. I'll also bring a camera that is guaranteed to make everyone look thinner.

CHAMPIONCHIP TIMING: All participants will pick up their ChampionChip timing chip on event morning at the packet pick up location. You must have your run number with you in order to pick up your timing chip.

NOTE:  Chip pick-up will be available from 5:30 - 6:30 AM.

I imagine that most folks will be there well before this time bracket ends. I plan to be there before 6 to pick up my chip, get body-marked, set up transition and do a quick pool warm-up, in that order. Wasn't planning on meeting up with anyone specifically, but I expect most people will be there around 6 or earlier depending on their pre-race routine. Make sure you give yourself enough time, so you're not rushing around on your first race, and have time to relax before it starts

Setup is annoying me.  What takes so long for them to get the splits up?  Last year they had them posted at 3 PM on race day.  Grrr.... the type A in me no likey.

ditto. even though they have the age group males up and they have been up for a while.  i have checked a thousand times. anyone know what the deal is with race photos? i've noticed the other setup races have links on the main page. i'm hoping there is at least one of me since i didn't have anyone there to take photos.

That was a very poor selection of after race food...and the aid station was not any better.
