Subject: Polar bike monitor and heart rate monitor
I have a Polar heart rate monitor and was wondering if I should buy the matching bike monitor?  Is it necessary to have all Polar or will any type of bike monitor be sufficient?  Any thoughts?

I have polar on both - it makes it very simple - no changing Heart straps, and watches, it works very well.
