Pre-race routine:

Left Breck at 4:00am w/Melinda, Jon, Buddy, and Diesel.
Parked at CU as recommended by the Bolder Boulder website.
Got there about 6:00 am and couldn't find the shuttle buses
to the start, asked a bunch of volunteers, nobody had any
idea and zero signage. A little odd for a race of over
54,000 people. I think people who do this race every year
have their routine down as far as where to park, etc.

So I jogged there about 2.5 miles w/lots of others doing
the same. Was a little worried since I had to find the start,
pick up my packet and get in my wave before 7:04 which I
made by at least two minutes. Forgot my watch again.
Event warmup:

2.5 mile jog.

Comments:

Ran hard. Just tried to keep up with the people around me. The waves were great. Everyone seemed to be running about the same speed. With no watch I had absolutely no idea how fast I was running. When I started the race clock said 4:50 and I planned on getting the end time and subtracting for my time but I forgot so I didn't even know my time until a got back to Breck and checked the web page.
What would you do differently?:

Bring a watch. Be faster.
Post race
Warm down:

None.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not enough fast running in training. Been trying to just build a running base and get some miles in.

Event comments:

Wish I had brought warm clothes. It got cold after the race. Next year, I'll know what I'm doing a little .

Looks like you had a decent race. Cut it pretty close on the time. Lots of people park for free at the shopping area closer to the start. Kinda funny that coming from Breck you weren't prepared for the cold.

Nice job on getting to the start line on time!  Seems like a pretty steady effort to from what I have read about the course layout.  Next year will be even better for you
