Comments: Started out pretty good - 8 minute mile - and just constantly got slower and slower. I really have to start doing repeats on hills and other speed work becuase I'm not necessarily out of breath - my legs will not move any faster. What would you do differently?: not drink as much in the beginning of the race. Use my trainers the for the race. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Newton's. I would have felt much better running in my Mizunos. Event comments: It benefits the high school I graduated from so I'll continue to do it every year. Last updated: 2008-06-02 12:00 AM

gulped down some Mountain Dew and coffee.
did some warming up with my Mizuno trainers. Jogged about -maybe- one mile really slow. Moved onto the track and started to do some accelerations and high knees. Stopped and stretched for about 10 or 15 minutes. Changed shoes from Mizuno trainers to Newton flats.
