6/11 - Big Sky Duathlon

8/28 - tentatively - Rattlesnake Duathlon

9/11 - Fall Frenzy Duathlon, or maybe the Tri if I can work some swimming in.

I'm in the same boat, though, of wanting to keep close to home in Centennial.

is the fall chill back on?

and Kupe, get some swimmin' in with us at the gravel pit at chatfield (with comsa.org) and you can make the duo-tri transition!

Not the Fall Chill, but the Fall Frenzy.  It's in Parker.  Here's the web address:

http://www.fallfrenzy.com/

Trying to keep all my races pretty close to home, since there will be a newborn around (Mid-May-ish) I don't want to go galavanting all around and leave Momma hangin'.  This venue is about 10 minutes from home, so I figured "Why not?"  I work right by Harvard Gulch pool so I figure I can get some lunch-time swims in there.

BTW, Safe and happy racing/training to all this year!!

Kupe

The Fall Frenzy is a fun race. Treads Bikes gives away a softride bike every year. However, I have not won it in the past 3 years darnit. Pool swim with waves of similar speed. Very well run. Mark

Well, the fall and spring chill races won't happen BUT Loveland Lake to Lake is ON! Oly distance. It starts a little early (6:30) to accommodate Larimer County wishes.

RE: 2004 / 2005 Danskin Denver

Happy New Year to each of you. We hope that many of you were able to see the Denver 2004 Race when it aired in late November on Altitude Sports. I

As we prepare to open registration for the 2005 Danskin/Denver Race I wanted to take a moment to address with you the traffic situation that plagued the 2004 Race. First - please accept our sincere regret regarding the inconvenience and frustration caused to you if were involved. Second, please know that we have taken clear steps to ensure that what did occur will NOT occur again.

It went on to talk about how they would do this..... registration is not open yet.....

Any end of the month September, 2005 tris in the Denver/Boulder area?

Trying to plan my birthday visit out to the parents in Denver around the end of the month, and hey, why not do a tri to celebrate the big three zero.

Fall Chill is no more, Chris, so the only races I know of in September are Fall Frenzy in Parker 9/11 or Harvest Moon 1/2 IM on 9/18. Maybe if you are here later than that and there are no races, we'll have our own BT-CO tri!

Have any of you CO athletes done the Table Mountain Triathlon. My daughter might be going out there for the junior 13-15 race and I was wondering what to expect as far as the terrain. She is not used to hills, being from South Florida.

Don't know about the terrain, but there is altitude for sure. South Florida is, what, 25 feet above sea level? Table Mountain is at least 5280. I am not trying to talk you out of it. But it is something to consider.

I thought about the altitude thing. If she does the race, she will be out there for a training camp the week prior. I am hoping that this will help with getting used to the altitude before race day.

I know this is an old thread, but I just noticed an Olympic length is scheduled in Longmont on August 21 at Union Resevoir.
