Subject: Training Philosophies of the Pros
As a "beginner" triathlete, a lot of the training philosophies we are exposed to seem to come from a limited number of places. We hear a lot about the TTB and Joe Friels methods, or perhaps it's Mark Allen and his methods. I think with a name like Triathlete's Training Bible we tent to think that this is the final word when it comes to training philosophy. I don't know if it's just good marketing, or celebrity in the case of Mark Allen, but sometimes there doesn't seem to be much else out there.

So to my question: what do the pros use? Do any of them follow the systems recommended by Friel or do they do their own thing?

I've looked around at a lot of their web sites and am trying to research the coaches for people like Macca, Al-Sutain, Badmann, etc., but haven't really come up with much yet.
