Comments: my first metric century. Maybe my last? That's an awefully long time to be pedaling! I don't know how people do centuries and longer rides! My saddle/shorts issues resurfaced and I was dealing with an uncomfortable bottom and toes that were going numb. It was pretty warm (80's and probably 90's) but not terrible. Of course, there was headwind for the last 30 miles. That goes without saying, right? I'm glad I accomplished this and I'm not too terribly sore. Still, next year I may go back to doing the 50. What would you do differently?: get my saddle/shorts issues sorted out! Post race
Warm down: walked, poured water over my head, changed into new shorts, lunch What limited your ability to perform faster: saddle discomfort Event comments: well run, lots of course choices, decent food before and after (although not quite as good as past years; cutting back bc of the economy?)
