Now this was just a party. Lots of people, lots of kids, lots of college kids. So fun. The course was a mile loop of the last part of the MTB course, so I already knew it and had ridden through a lot of the mud. Had to run up the mountain quite a bit, across a bunch o mud, through a muddy tunnel, down the hill around near the start/finish and through the mud pit they had build and taped so that you had to go under the tape through the mud. Basically forced you to crawl through it. First lap was a little brutal since my legs were fried from earlier but it was just fun and laughed and chatted and joked with everyone around me. Got to the mud pit and sunk up to my calves. Threw some mud at some other people, died laughing the whole time, then out for another lap. My feet weighed 50lbs each with all that mud on them! It was hilarious. Up and around again. Same hijinks in the mud pit, then up and around for the final lap. Got to the mud pit for the last time and my buddy Russel, no joke, dove in and did the swimmers crawl through it. I got pulled in as well. Ha. Good times.

The finish times make me laugh. HOW DO THEY KNOW? All our race numbers were covered in mud.

Stood in line to get hosed off by the fire department boys. That was enjoyable as well. ;) It was getting late and the sun was setting so it was getting so so cold. Finally got the hose and got a bulk of the mud off and then they gave us all robes. Awesome. Jogged back to the car and the parking garage bathroom were I took a sponge bath and got clean and warm again.

Excellent day. I was tired.
