Was planning on running a 6 min pace, but was feeling good and wanted to test my limits for the weekend, so I pushed it up a bit and used RPE. Ended up running just under a 5:15 pace.

This was my first group ride. Prior to this I had only biked by myself or with Mike. It is very hard to get back in the pack if you get dropped.

Used infinit nutrition for the first time - it worked great.

I think my HR zones for my bike are off - I was in zone 4 and 5 for most of the ride. If this was true, I should have been curled up in a ball on the side of the road long before the start of the run! I stuck with the group and used RPE.

This was part 1 of the Bytown 171 big training weekend. 100Km bike, followed by the MDS Nordion 10k run.
