Swim
Comments: When I first got to the lake I looked for the bouys I would swim to. There were two across the lake so I assumed I would swim out to one, across to the other one and back. Then my brother said, "What about that bouy way over ther?" as he points to the far end of the lake!!!! I swam the entire way without stopping or floating on my back. I just kept swimming! This was a huge confidence booster for me! What would you do differently?: Sight more oftet and learn to swim straight. I would be on the right of everyone, then next time I looked up I'd be on the left of everyone. Transition 1
Comments: Couldnt get my left foot in my shoe so I had to pedal on top of my shoe for a while. What would you do differently?: Lube up my bike shoes so I can slip in and take off. Bike
Comments: I just kept reeling them in! This is my favorite part of the race! What would you do differently?: Move the stupid bento box or get something different. Its the first time I've ridden with it and it kept hitting my knee. I almost ripped it off and threw it in the weeds! Transition 2
Comments: The transition area was pretty far from all of the coarses, everyones T times were pretty high. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: Wasn't going to run. When I got off the bike my leg wasn't hurting so I said Fuck it and took off. After about a mile the pain came back. I basically jogged super easy the whole way. Everyone I passed on the bike passed me on the run. What would you do differently?: Run injury free. Post race
Warm down: Walked around with my brother, stretched, and ate some food. What limited your ability to perform faster: My right leg! Last updated: 2008-05-04 12:00 AM

Bagel with peanut butter for breakfast, Starbucks espresso on the way. Arrived early for packet pickup, good place for my bike on the rack, and check out the lake.
Jumped in the lake about 15 min before the start and practiced sighting and getting my stroke smooth and calm.
