Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 6:15, read the paper , checked the temp , fed Cole and had 3 mini bagels with PB, Mother-in-law came over , loaded up and downed a Rock Star on the way

Event warmup:

ran about 2 blocks , saw Aidana, Got2run (steve) and his daughter Aimee, wished everyone good luck and then the gun went off.Gave Travis and Sandi an EEEAAAWW!!!

Comments:

Never was comfortable, took no fluids on run

What would you do differently?:

Start closer to line so I could do less weaving through traffic
Use the bathroom before run
Push the pace more after 3rd mile marker
Worry less about hills

Post race

Warm down:

Grabbed a water and walked back a few blocks and saw Got2Run and Aimee finishing strong. Then saaw Aidana who was also looking good at the finish. Grabbed so more water, watched a 10 miler puke near the finish and waited for my family who was doing the walk.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

not enough training for the distance, worried too much about the hills, tried to conserve too much, not fast in downhill portion, get through traffic better.

Event comments:

Will do again.

Course:	Downhill start, 90 degree turn , over a bridge up a small hit, through the zoo, turnaround, down hill until the bridge , uphill finish with last four blocks flat.
