Swim
Comments: Oi...since starting near the front the day before was a disaster, I seeded myself about 6' behind the group of 25-29 males I was starting with. Smart move! The start was me swimming above the water until ot cleared a bit. Then, it was smooth sailing. I was able to bi-lateral breath pretty much from the start. I found a few fishies to draft off of but would lose them due to my poor sighting. I feel like I was swimming way far left and hugging the shore line more then I should have been. After we popped out from uner the bridge, half of the swimmer started cutting daigonal towards the finish. Stupidly, I started to follow suit thinking I was doing ok. After a minute or two of thinking about it, I realized they were dead wrong. We still had another bit to swim and a buoy to round. I righted myself and found the buoy. Turned it and swam like hell into the finish. What would you do differently?: I'm going to do more OWS to work on my sighting. I'm also going to look into prescription goggles. I'm blind as a bat and would not have got so confused had I been able to spot the buoys better. Transition 1

I was the swimmer for the Childrens Hospital Relay
Woke up at 5...again. Had my oatmeal and banana and off I went.
Made sure my wetsuit was on RIGHT with lots of glide on my shoulders. Stretched a bit, but that was about it. Warm up was over by the time my bus got to the start.
