Anyone going to Perham this weekend to do the Average Jo(e)? I've seen it spelled with and without the last E and don't know which is right. Oh well.

It seems to me a few of you have done it in the past. Will I see anyone there this Saturday?

Nope. Going over to Hudson to do Croixathlon, my first of the year.

Hudson is hella lot closer than Perham.

Man, I wanted to do that one, as I have a cabin on Big Pine lake, so I run in to Perham when I am up there, but my wife is ready to pop any day now.

Just tell her that you'll have the rest of the kid's life to be with him/her, and that there is really only so much time to do all of the different triathlons in the state. You can make it up to her by giving her the race shirt or something.

Kidding, of course.

It would be no good for her to pop without you.

You know, maybe it's just a childhood association and going to Zorbaz when we visited family up that direction, but I've got this idea that Zorbaz is about the best food/pizza/taco place to go in the summer around there. A couple summers ago I took my wife to the Zorbaz in Detroit Lakes. We ate pizza, drank beer, and watched World Cup soccer. I was in heaven.

That being said. I haven't gotten a confirmation back from them after I sent in my check. How does everything work for the race? All I know is what I've seen on the website.

You won't get a confirmation, at least I really doubt it. As noted on their website, check in will start at 6:30. When I was there 2 years ago I think I was the first person there at 6:30 and the volunteers were just starting to show it. It was definitely a low key tri, which I personally really enjoy. Just hoping the weather will hold but I seem to attract rain to races .

We should really set something up for next year and this tri.

If we got about 4-5 guys from the cities, we could road-trip up, do the tri, golf at Thumper Pond (great course) drink some beer, try and sink my pontoon etc.....

This is my 5th career race. It will be my 4th race with crappy weather.

Weather says 61 degrees, with rain and wind of 22 miles per hour. *groan*
