God it was crowded at the start and probably for about half the race. It was therefore very difficult to get a good rythm as I was swimming into people.

You don't get a time for the transition but it felt slow. This time I got the suit down to my waste as I ran into transition and it didn't take me too long to get it off. I was slow getting my socks on (question - should I give up socks). Also my bike shoes took a little too long to get on. I have bought some propper tri shoes and I will try clipping these on to the bike next time.

I went out far too quick at the start and paid for it. I got stitch with about 1.5k left and could hardly run. It was unbelievably painful and I had to stop a few times.
What would you do differently?:

Take it easier at the start and breath deeper and exhale on my left footfall.
