Pre-race routine:

Enjoyed the feeling of sand between my toes, the smell of the ocean...the gentle sounds of the lapping waves....I *love* and miss the beach! That's why I keep going back to this race, I'd never go to the beach otherwise.

Comments:

Swim was okay....Breast-stroked the whole way back. I'm not sure why I always seem to do this, but I'd like to figure it out....today I think I was sticking with breaststroke when it got a little wavy/choppy. I think the rolling motion of freestyle was making me a little nauseous...but breaststroke is like a deep-V hull slicing through the chop.
