Fellow triathletes,

I was really inspired this weekend at the Tri the Parks in Indian Springs State Park in Flovilla, Georgia. I was participating in my second triathlon (of which i noticed a HUGE improvement over my first!).

Anyways, we had an 87 year old triathlete competing!!! It was SO inspirational to me. I hope to see him many more times over the next few years. Laughing

I saw an 82-year old woman at my first race last year. Yesterday, I body-marked a 72-year old dude, who was in great shape. God, I hope I'm in that good shape by the time I'm that old.

Frank Farrar, Ironman extraordinaire who is around 76, kicked my butt in the swim at IM Moo!  He's a fun speaker to listen to, also!

If I stick with it I want to someday be the Oldest Triathlete at any given race.

THEN I'll win my AG.

Don't bet on winning your AG when you get older. The more people are involved in this sport (particularly runners who want to cross train), the faster some of these athletes are. Heck, I used to get bling by default. No longer. Boo hoo.

Even when I'm 87?

Damn. I guess nothing is for granted.
