Hi all,
Was wondering what everyone uses as a multi-tool for trianing and racing. I have looked at the Alien 2 multi tool, which I like because it has a chain tool on it.

Was wondering what others use, and how they work, if you have had to use them

Thanx
Dave

I have a Crank Bros multi-tool that I really like. It folds up small, has all of the essential allen keys, a couple of screw drivers and a bullet-proof chain too (and a couple of spoke wrenches too...)

I just got the Ascent "Bright Idea Multi-Tool" on sale for $10 (50 percent off).  It has the Phillips and flat blade screw drivers, hex wrenches, box wrenches, spoke wrenches, bottle opener, and an LED light.  The case it comes in has a loop so that it can be attached to the outside of the wedge pack which saves on space.    The site below has the one I got and the Alien 2, also on sale for $35 (12 percent off).

OK, Ken, I just gotta ask what you're drinking on your long rides that you need a bottle opener for?

It may sound like sacrilege, but you could save some weight by bringing twist-off beer.
