I'm in and will have Christine (on body and spirit) with me on my 5K run and in my first OWS Sprint on Saturday.

Hello Gang the RD for the Hit the Trails race. I have been busy preparing my Pre-Registration list. Overwhelmed by your contribution to this race. Let me set your minds at ease. I ran track workouts with Christine as I called her the freight train since she breathed kind of loud. I know Tom and the boys well and Christine joined in many races with the club. She was always trying to break 30 min in her 5K we would cheer in "sign" when she came in. She has shopped at my running shop many times, always looking for that perfect shoe to break 30 minutes. We would meet at a lot of races, she was fun, came to our picnic etc. I will miss her.

I put on three CC races a year I coach at a local HS and love CC. We have little overhead, this is a pure CC race, so no Police involved, we give all the money to Charity. Get support from local business and use my vendors also for doorprizes. Our first race was for the Girl Scouts, second was to be the charity of our choice "now Christine" , 3rd will be for our High School scholarship. The way we're set-up $12.00 for us and $3.00 to Active. I put out a video email to my 500+ email list spoke to many people this will be a big race and ALL the proceeds will go to her family. We'll release red/white balloons and have a moment of silence. I know Christine will love this, she loved the races I will post some photos on my website after the race and let you know the approximate amount, how eveything went etc. OK now back to my pre-registration.....  i put my donation via paypal...not sure if that was "right" or not.  but i like the idea of all the money going straight to christine's family instead of any going to active.

Active.com would not let me register.  So, I just paypalled money to the gmail address and added it to my race calendar.

I will be running 5k tomorrow and I will race the Trilogy #2 Triathlon in Key Biscayne on Sunday in honor of her...All my best thoughs to her family and friends...

Can't run tomorrow night, but I ran 6.5 today... 3.1 in honor of Lucy.

I wish I had known her.  She sounded like a marveleous person to have in one's life.  I am sorry that I did not know she was sick, I had no idea and wish I could have given her a prayer or two   It's so sad that she is gone... I hope she is in a better place.  Rest in peace Lucy...
