Swim
Comments: My shoulder has been so tight and sore this week so the swim was not comfy, it also affected my navigation. What would you do differently?: I need to get my shoulder healthy Transition 1
Comments: Slow, slow, slow. What would you do differently?: Focus and visualize the race Bike
Comments: I enjoyed the bike ride. Passed lots of people, but knew that I was way behind after the swim. I dropped my electrolytes bottle just after mile 4. After my slow swim, I figured that AG finish was out of reach. Instead of getting down, I thought "What would Ann do?" She would say focus on a new goal. My new goal was to enjoy the ride and the beautiful rural countryside. I saw a young rider on the side of the road yelling out "Does anyone have bike tools?". Aw, heck, this is the race to help someone. So I stopped. Her peddle had come loose from the bike; she needed a wrench and I only had hexes. But she finished the bike course with one leg! Awesome. Transition 2
