Comments: Started to get cold and shiver about 800M, after rounding last bouy i was really cold and hamstrings cramping - couldn't kick. Managed to get to the beach, but my race was over right there. Suffered from HYPOthermia and spent hour in med tent/ambulance warming up with IV and heating blanket. What would you do differently?: Not sure. I would think that a full wetsuit would have been better, but in water that is mid 70's i thought i was ok. The day before i swam maybe 1000 and was ok. Transition 1

Up early - bagel w/peanut butter and Vanilla yogurt. Dropped off at race site about 530. set up transition, went for 1/2M jog. Roughly 90 minutes until my wave, so had another bagel and was sipping Hammer HEED.
