I went into this today with a grand plan of how I hoped to do time-wise with my walk/run intervals. About half-way into it, I realized I was really behind where I had hoped to be. I started to feel very discouraged, fat, and slow. I then reminded myself that today wasn't about me at all. It was about Christine. It was about Tom, Christian, and Dylan. It didn't matter whether I was fat or thin, slow or fast, elite runner or recovering couch potato. All that mattered was that I was alive and I was out doing this race in memory of Christine. It was a good run.
