Pre-race routine:

Setup transition area. Friends helped me with what I should have and how to set it up. In the future, if I purchase a wetsuit I think I will purchase a transition bag as well. NUTRITION: for breakfast I had a granola bar and an energy drink

Course was approx. 500m and it was my first OWS. Not a good combination for a very windy day (20-30mph). Need to work on not panicing....(did it twice:) ). Spent way too much time on my back swimming through the water.
What would you do differently?:

Need to work much more on my running to vastly improve my cardio. This should help immensly.

Good job. Way to get out there. The swim is definitely scary the first time out. After three it still is. Good to see you want to and are continuing.
