Subject: IMKY water stops?

Anyone familiar with this course?  We're riding it this weekend and trying to figure out where we can refill water.  Depending on heat, I can bring only about 1.5 hours max of water on my bike and need to refill every 1.5 after that.  Is this doable on the IMKY course?

thx,.

Totaly, there is a convenience store on 42 on your way out on the right, s there is a convenience store right after the HS on your left (don't know the road #'s right now but it is the at the first (?) left on the loop, and another later on in the loop. I think you should make it.

As Kati mentioned there is a gas station on US 42 just as you start up the hill leaving Prospect.  There is another one at the top of the same hill.  Once you pass that area, things start to get a bit sparce.  There is gas station at the intersection of Hwy 393 and Hwy 146 that is only about 5 miles (educated guess) into the loop portion of the course that you will obviously pass twice.  On the way back into to Louisville there is a little general store on the right hand side on US 42 between Hwy 393 (the road that starts the loop) and Hwy 1694 (the out and back spur).  After that you will be relative close to the Prospect area again.  There may be others here or there, but those are the ones that I remember off the top of my head.

cool  thanks everyone for the recon info.  i'm looking forward to seeing just how IMKY compares to IMWI.  I've been told by my buddy who's raced both that IMKY is slightly less difficult.
