Pre-race routine:

Night Race. Normal dinner at 5:30. Race start time 8:45pm.

Event warmup:

Walk from car to trail start. Simple stretching.

Comments:

Hot and windy. Starting was crowded getting down the initial sidewalk/trail. This was my first race and I was happy with my performance based on my current fitness level / training.

What would you do differently?:

I started at the mid to back of the pack since this was my first race. The starting was pretty bunched up getting down the first couple minutes so had to move very slowly. Next time I'll start closer to the front and then find my pace from there.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Staring area was crowded.

Event comments:

My first running race so little to compare to. No complaints and I feel I ran as well possible.

Course:	Historic train tunnels at Lake Mead in Las Vegas. Route went from Alan Bible visitor center down walking trail through first two tunnels. Then turn around and back to start.
