Subject: RE: What's wrong with Clearwater? Hey fellas....I think I may have driven this thread off topic, so let me try to put the car back on the tracks. My only intention in bringing up climbing at Kona was driven around a conversation about drafting at Kona and Clearwater. In short, Kona features multiple defense mechanisms to deter drafting, heat, humidity, wind and climbing (to whatever degree). Clearwater features absolutely zero. I guess the wind could pick up at some future date, but racing in FL in November removes heat, the course is pancake flat and no wind has been present in the first 2 races. By no means did I mean to come off elitist or predatory in my comments comparing the 2 races! Sorry for any miscommunication. |
