Swim
Comments: Pretty decent swim, my time was better then I thought it would be. Encountered a lot of body contact. It was still a good feeling to pass some in the previous waves before mine. What would you do differently?: Keep working on my time, distance, and breathing technique. Transition 1
Comments: All the transitions were built into the bike portion, I hate it when they do this. Bike
Comments: Now, the courses discription stated a moderate hill at the biginning, IT WAS. Then it would be flat and fast with moderate hills as well. DON'T THINK SO. It must be how a Marine would describe a moderate hill. There were at least three that took my breath away. The added bonus nonetheless is that the downfill WAS FAST when it came. To me a difficult course that I refused to fail. What would you do differently?: Work on hills and positioning on the bike. Transition 2
Comments: All the transitions were built into the bike portion, I hate it when they do this. Run
Comments: Did the best possible run after my worst bike, so it speaks a lot to the course. It was well planned and the one hill was not that bad, or it may have been because by this point, many of the athletes were opting to jog or walk up the thing. Post race
Warm down: Massage tent was available so I received a quick 10 minute rub-down and then a lengthy walk back to the car. What limited your ability to perform faster: The hills on the bike. Last updated: 2008-01-16 12:00 AM
