Another vote for Anchovies

I love cooking with them and my favorite dish (With Anchovies) is Putanesca.

I have been known to sneak them into a recipe when cooking for friends and they never knew the difference and my favorite dish for doing this goes something like this:

In a good bit of Olive Oil in a big pan, Sweat 4 cloves of crushed garlic. Then add anchovies and sautee until they have melted into the oil and the aroma is nutty and not the least bit fishy smelling.

Then add in as much fresh spinach leaves as you can get into the pan and continue to sautee for about a minute stiring often to make sure all of the leaves get a good coating of oil.

Plate and Serve

Mine is marshmallows...my hubby absolutely loathes marshmallows. He cannot fathom how I can eat them. I especially like the flavored ones...like the Jet-Puffed Strawberry ones...or the Jet-Puffed fruit flavored mini marshmallows....YUMMMMM! Can eat the whole bag in one sitting. Talk about a sugar rush!

Brussel sprouts steamed and lightly pan fried in butter. Everyone I know hates them (specially the kids), but the trick is not to overcook them.

Another fluffernutter fan here. Oddly, I've met people who have NO idea what they are and just recently I had a hard time finding the Fluff in the grocery store so subbed in marshmallow in a jar that I found in the chocolate syrup section.

I know you're supposed to hate brussel sprouts, but I love them! Can't get enough of them. Yum.

Oh, and count me in on all raw batters (and doughs, for that matter). Pancake, cake, cornbread, etc. My dad used to make aebleskivers (like pancakes, but round) so that there was still a tiny bit of raw batter at the center... so good.

Sometimes I feel that there is no real point to actually baking any of the stuff one makes -  just eat it out of the bowl. It's quicker.

x2...

I made 6 or 7 batches of choc. chip cookies one Summer and baked a total of about 7 cookies....

my foods:
ketchup slathered on mac -n- cheese
fries in the van milkshake (saw that posted....I haven't done that in 20 years..yum!)
Milk toast (cinamon toast with warm milk poured around it)
"Grandmas Invention"...Well, that's what our family calls it. Macaroni, ground beef, and a can of tomato soup (no milk/water added)....brown the beef, boil the macaroni and mix...double yum!

nevergivin - 2008-07-29 4:33 PM Fluffernutter Sandwich!
I prefer Nanafluffernutters.  As well as liver and onions (but have not eaten it in years since my wife would probably throw up if I cooked it.)
