Comments: Set off too fast but once going under 10 min miles was on I really wanted to brake that. What would you do differently?: Go slower. Drink water not energy drink and use some other race nutrition. Carry a water botle in a hip carrier. Post race

took 3 caffine tabs about 9am and had a light breakfast. I then biked 20mins to the race to register and went and left 2 bottles of energy drink on the course for me to pick up later. Then waited for family and had a late, light lunch before making way to 2pm start.
Walk up hill to race.
