Swim
Comments: The swim went well. I stayed composed and it all went well. A little smacking at my feet, but found open water for the most part and just made my way around. What would you do differently?: Did this just about right. Some times I did lose focus on my stroke mechanics so I did not glide as much as I should. Certainly an improvement on last one. Transition 1
Comments: Fairly long run to T1 but just fine. What would you do differently?: This went well. Nothing. Bike
Comments: Pretty high I think. I passed a ton of people with a significant speed differential. I was not passed by anyone. Caught almost everyone in the wave that started two minutes ahead of me and swimmers from my wave that were faster than me. Only 8 were ahead of me at the end of the bike. What would you do differently?: Nothing really. Only problem I had was thought I dropped a chain on a hill-I need to practice on hills more. Transition 2
What would you do differently?: Saw guy ahead of me taking his shoes off while riding on the bike. Thought that looks easy and took one foot out and the shoe flipped over and stroked across the ground for every time I pedaled the bike for the last 25 yars. I will not do that again. Run
Comments: Pretty good effort overall. Passed four people ahead of me who were from the earlier wave. What would you do differently?: Nothing, maybe push a little harder earlier. Post race
Warm down: Jogged maybe 1.5 miles Event comments: Map messed up due to event timing company so no splits other than what I collected myself. Bummer, I still don't know how I do on the bike (pace that is). Last updated: 2008-07-16 12:00 AM
