Swim
Comments: I still had a little trouble figuring out where to go because the buoys were not exactly a triangle. Their was more of a trapezoid. Once we started coming back in to shore you could not see at all because we were swimming into the sun. The contacts really helped alot. What would you do differently?: Swim faster Transition 1
Comments: First time trying the shoe on bike start. It went pretty well. I would feel comfortable doing this again. What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: Bike went pretty well. I am not sure if I could have pushed much harder. I raced a guy for most of the way out and he got ahead of me on the big hill. I caught up to him on the way down the hill and then passed him about a mile before the finish. It was a great motivator. I had a gel at the beginning of this leg. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 2
Comments: When I bent over to put on shoes I felt some puke (the gel) on the way up but I kept it down. I thought things were going well and I didn't want the guy I passed on the big to get ahead of me so I skipped the socks. What would you do differently?: None Run
Comments: Run felt great. I got a mild side ache after 1/2 mile but I ran through it and felt great afterward. I did not drink any water but dumped it on my head. I passed a bunch of people near the finish and sprinted to the end. Post race
Warm down: Talked with a Brad who finished after me for a little bit and had a gatorade and a bagel. What limited your ability to perform faster: I went all out. Last updated: 2008-01-28 12:00 AM

Got up around 6:00AM and had a 1/2 bagel with PB & J and some water. Drove to the race it took about 25 minutes.
Set up bike in Transition area. Got a spot near bike out. Rode a quick 1/2 mile to make sure everything was working and bike computer was functioning properly. Put on shoes and went for a few sprints. Then jumped in the water and swam about 50 yards.
