Subject: Manheim/Lititz/Lancaster Area Masters Swim/Open Water Swim

Manheim/Lititz/Lancaster Area
Masters Swim/Open Water Swim

Does anyone know of anything in the area for a master swim or open water swim?
I currently swim at the Lititz Rec Center and am looking to gain experience swimming in a group and in open water.  If anyone has any suggestions or knows of any resources I would greatly appreciate it.

I currently swim twice a week, 3000-4000 meters at about 2min/100meters pace.

East Shore YMCA (Harrisburg) will be having a Masters Swim program in September. 

Contact the Aquatics Director Dee Fisher 232-9622.  She is out this week so next week

Wow, thats awesome! I didn't know that. i was looking into one at central pa fitness. the coach was susposed to call me this week but haven't heard from him yet. But if that doesn't work out may the YMCA would work. What do you know about it? I hope it isn't as hard core as the west shores. their practices in the morning dont work with my schedule plus it seems competition driven. the one at central penn, from what i heard through the grapevine was mostly triathletes plus practice is at 4-6 m,w, fr and 6-8 t-th which would really work for me. I will let you know what i find out. Maybe the ymca's would be something we could get our club involved in.
