Subject: Leader 735 TT Frame
I have an opportunity to buy a 2007 Leader 735 TT Frame and carbon fork at a really good price. My only concern is that I have heard that there is a design flaw with the wheel cut out on the 2007 735 TT. Has anyone heard about this flaw? If so, what have you heard/read? If someone has this frame, I would love to hear from you and possibly see some pics.

They were selling those frames on ebay. I doubt it was all of the frames from that model or year, so the one you are looking at may not be defected. But even if the one you are looking at has a defect, I believe it is still fully usable.

Thanks - I was told that this particular frame has the flaw. The frame was part of a bike build that was never completed. Therefore, the owner has no feedback on particulars of the flaw. I am hoping to hear from others who have the flawed frame.

The flaw is that the cutout doesn't match the wheel position; it's probably not going to make a huge difference in performance but it doesn't look very good.

When they were selling these frames in 2007, Leader was selling them very cheap (I think they were less than $200; may have even been blowing them out at $99 - I don't recall for sure though).

They are still fully functional as a tt frame. Still aero and still puts you at that 78 degree seat angle. I've never seen one in person, but as the above poster said, it's more cosmetic then anything.

Thanks for the info. I have e-mailed Leader asking that they send me a picture of the flawed frame with a rim attached to it. I would still be interested in seeing other pictures as well. Did the 2006 Leader 735 TT have the 78 degree seat angle?
