Name your favorite local bike shop.  Next month I'm going to have my bike shipped/rebuilt/tuned up.  Which shops are the best near 33309/33308? Thanks, in advance.

Not in Broward, but I go to Transition Area in Ocean Ridge, not far from where you are, maybe 30-40 minutes North on AIA. Nice small shop and owner very knowledgable. Helps they really focus primarily on Tri gear and rides. www.transitionarea.com Christian is the owner.

Racers Edge in Boca. OK, but no prize winners
Bicycle Generation in Deerfield OK, but they charge retail for everything.
Big Wheel Cycles is on the Ft. Laud/Pompano line on US1. Ask for Jen, she'll do you right.

All Bicycles in Deerfield Beach (north Broward) is a good shop.  Small, but professional.  Owned and operated by Rich Cohen (www.allbicycles.com).  Caters to a smaller client base.  Very knowledgeable.

In the Fort Lauderdale area, Downtown Bicycles is okay.  Bigger store - more of a chain.  I've had no problems with them.

Christian rocks! He is so helpful and goes out of his way to help you. It is a small shop, and they are a Cervelo dealer, he is also FIST certified so he can fix you up.

As for non-tri related in Broward, I am a big fan of Big Wheel. Nice people, good selection.

Racers Edge in Boca...they are amazing people...never try and rip you off and will never sell you something you don't need.  They always make sure you are happy and go out of their way ot do so.

Thanks everybody, for your suggestions.  I'll be moving to So. Fla in early October and am looking forward to checking these shops out (and finding folks to train with!).
