Hi! I will be racing in the Kings Trail Tri in Maui on 12 June. I have signed up with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team In Training (TNT) organization to train for this race. Please visit my website for updates on my training and donation information (www.active.com/donations/fundraise_public.cfm?key=tntmiTZalens).

Is anyone else planning on racing this?

The course starts with a .9K swim in the waters in front of the Maui Prince Hotel followed by a two loop 40K bike course towards Wailea and riding up the beautiful Piilani Highway, and of course, this is followed by a 10K run along the south shore walkways, golf courses, and roadways along the "Kings Trail" south of Makena. We'll even be running through the Ahihi-Kinau lava flow before turning around and racing to the finish line at the Maui Prince.

Good luck to everyone out there and their tri's!!!!

Yeah, I hear especially in the ride.... you can check out the race website at "http://www.mauimultisportsclub.org/"....

I have been sick since my first meeting with my team and am just starting to start up again. I'm going skiing tomorrow and swimming on Thursday... so, I'll be slow, but I know I'll finish the race when the time comes!!!!

I hope you are feeling better. We are fortunate to be able and train all year. There are no hills so we ride over the bridges on the intercoastal waterways. Sunday was 8 times over and back. It isn't that steep or long but it helps. Good luck with your training and fundraising.

I'll be going too, with my hubby, Ropkins.  Haven't even started training hills, so he'll probably have that advantage over me!

I train with someone who did it 2 years ago. He said it is a tough race. The hills aren't long but they are steep, for both the bike and run. The main thing is that when you are done you are in MAUI!! After a few tropical drinks you will forget about the race.

Yea, I love Mai Tai's!!! We'll have to get together after the race and crawl along the beach en force with all of our TNT buddies!!!!!

I skied on Wed. and am training with the team tomorrow (stationary bike - it's snowing today) so it will be my first team training in a month... I'm so happy to be feeling better!!!!

Is everyone ready for the race? Only 10 days to go. I am having some leg problems which should clear up as soon as I get to Maui.
