Nice swim. I had to stop after a few hundred yards and take my wedding band off. Then place it on my watchband. It kept slipping over my knuckle
What would you do differently?:

Remember to take my wedding band off before the race.
Transition 1
  • 02m 37s
Comments:

Pulled out an old skill I hadn't used in a while. The mount area was pretty jammed up so I ran past them all and did a flying cyclocross mount. Hadn't done one in a few years. Glad it worked out okay.

Nice race Dave. Wish I could have seen that flying mount! Whew on the wedding ring - luckily I don't have that problem (loose ring that is) because I can't imagine telling my DH I lost it on the bottom of a lake! - and awesome swim time considering you had to stop and fiddle with the ring!!

Nice Oly from a fellow Clydesdale. I had the same run issue last year - my solution eat more breakfast (and training a bit more probably didn't hurt).
