DAMMIT!! I'm in. I'll eat the fee for the tri I registered for and run this. And yes, it's gonna hurt. Gotta love the hills...

Not sure what number this is for me. Let's just say somewhere between 2 and 347. Closer to two, though.

Are the hills any harder than the ones you hit in the TUURI 10k? They realy didn't seem all that significant to me. Have fun everyone, it's probably the best big race Michigan has to offer.

I've not done the TUURI 10k. So i'm not sure. It's hilly by my standards. I live in a very flat area....thus it is termed trixieville

Robyn, I'll bring the martian.  It can be an all day event, yes. However 4 of the 5 times I've run the race it has been humid and hot and storms threatened just until most everyone is done and then in downpours.  It's like groundhogs day. Happens almost every time I'm there. I'll plan to stay and get stoopid with ya'll though!  Jorge said to have fun, which to me means have fun, not bust my a$$

yup that means = go balls to wall for 10 miles and THEN have fun...

We should have a spot for a BT crowd to meet before the race. It gets quite crowded downtown to actually see anyone if you are not looking directly at them.

We generally meet at the clock tower, it's not real tall and it is by the cross road near the start, whatever that is.

It's near the 8 min/mile area generally. Is that good?

Random last minute question - anybody know what kind of drink they serve on the course? That is, aside from the beer...

Can't seem to find it on the website.

Last year, regular gatorade or powerade and water. There's a TON of nutrition on course. I also think there's a Gel stop at mile 6 or so, with GU.

Yeah, I could've used some gatorade or something a little earlier, but I heard them make the announcement in the morning that it would only be at miles 5 & 8 - so I guess I was at least mentally prepared for that. At least there were a bunch of water stations and lots of hoses/sprinklers!

Sorry I couldn't meet up with anyone...we underestimated the traffic getting there and by the time we got thru packet pickup, we had 15 mins to get back to our car and hit a bathroom!
