I don't supposed anyone here would be interested in being a pacer for a 100 mile run attempt?  Seriously, what could possibly be more fun than a nice slow night-time 25 miler through the woods (actually very nice when there is a full moon).  I'd even rustle up some nice schwag and home-baked food!

Location: near Newark, DE

Date: night of Sept 20

Is this a race, or just for kicks?

It's a very small, fat-a$$ (mostly self-supported) style race... so I guess that put's it one notch above just for kicks?

This a Trail Dawgs event, or someone else?

Would be interested if I lived closer.  I have heard of people doing this and it sounds like fun (unless you are pacing Dean Karnases).

I helped a friend finish her ultra this last spring.... NOT AN EFFING CHANCE.....

That looked like the most painful thing I have ever seen. (I only ran the last few miles (like 5) with her..

Hey Jess, I knew you would be doing a 100 Miler one day soon

Check over on RT (Maybe drop a post in the Marathon Forum) as there are several Ultra runners in your area and even a few that might be doing the race. I bet they can get probably get you hooked up with some pacers.

Can't wait for the Race Report...

Jessi,

I just figured I would throw this out there to a fellow New Joisey runner. A few of us have been in ultra-mode this Summer w/ one of our guys doing Leadville tomorrow, but the rest of us running a 6hr Ultra in Staten Island also on 9/20. I'm not sure where you are in NJ (we're in Monmouth County), but we have a # of 20-30 mile training runs we're doing between now & then if you're interested in joining us.

Typical training paces are between 7:45-8:30 but we're always flexible as the more the merrier! Let me know if you'd like to connect.
