Subject: Signing up for IM Louisville 09
I'm planning to sign up for IML'09. I was wondering what everyone's experience has been in signing up for this race. Do I need to actually go there this year to get a voucher for next year? I live ~3 hrs from Louisville, so I could do that. But...if I can just log in online and get it done...all the better! On the other hand, this is important to me and clearly worth the drive if that is what it takes to get a spot in the race. Thanks!

There is no on-site registration this year...on-line is the only way to sign up.

I'm sure it may sell out quicker but it took weeks for IMKY to sell out last year.

They must not want anyone that does the race this year to sign up for 2009! It is the same time as the awards banquet (11:00am to 1:00pm)

Good point.  They must be banking on the fact that the first and second years took weeks to fill up not hours.  If for some reason it does fill up w/i hours, I'm gonna be ticked.

Yeah Courtney, we coverd that on another thread didn't we? Did you ever figure out what kind of protest we're going to stage?

Ok, thanks for the good info. I was not aware that they are ONLY doing online registration. Seems odd to me, but it saves me a trip to KY! I'll be sure to be sitting at the computer ready to go when registration opens...just in case!

Yep, I'm obviously still bitter!  In terms of protesting, I'm hoping they at least get some complaints from this years participants that go to awards and can't sign up when registration opens online.  I think that's crappy!

I will not rip them too much as Ann got back to me quickly, but my friends will either be there or celebrating Labor day, not sitting by a computer to register me!!!
