Mr2tony is being gracious enough to pick me up at O'Hare and drive me up there the day before. Was just wondering who all will be there spectating/volunteering, any plans to meet up - and most importantly - where are ya'll staying? Is there any hope of getting a hotel room at this late date? Are ya camping? What's the dealio. Talk to me. |

On the west side of town, (near West Towne, or in Middleton) you're only 6 miles or so from the venue, and you should have no problem getting a hotel at this late date, plus you're closer to the bike course out there. |

I know I (and I assume many of the others lucky enough to participate) will want a calm easy Saturday night. How about a Friday get together somewhere. Anyone from the area think they would be up for organizing something? It will be impossible to accomadate everyones schedules, but if someone just set a time and a place I bet a lot of us could make it. I think a lot of us out of towners are planning on being in Madison by Friday. |

I just canceled a room at the Edgewater so it could still be available. Also try the Clarion on Rimrock. I know we got a room on Sunday afternoon for Sunday night last year for a friend's mom. I'd love to meet up with others. I'm injured (fractured shoulder) so I can't do any swims or workouts, but a regular get together would be great! BTW, jockstrapping is supporting the athletes who are racing |

I'll be travelling to Chicago on business and will stop in Madison on my way home. I was going to drive and take the bike along for a bike ride on Saturday. Anyone else bringing their wheels..... I'm planning to sign up for 2009 also. I still need to sign up to volunteer. If anyone was up for dinner, I'd be there. |

At this point I haven't decided if I'm going to stay over Sunday to Monday or not. Last year I was up the whole weekend but didn't have enough to do on Monday to justify paying for a hotel room. So to keep expenses down this year I'll drive up on race day. I'll be there in the massage therapy area though 8) |
