Pre-race routine:

Woke up 4:15 to get the transition setup. I felt great got a spot at the end of the rack and a traight shot to bike out. I went back to my room to relax.

I need to look for a different wetsuit. I got caught up in the suit with my arms and my ankles. I probably spent 5 minutes on the run from the swim trying to get out of the suit.

so sorry you flatted!  I had 2 spares and bought CO2 at the expo - I would happily have shared if I had seen you.  Lots of people had flats and broken wheels so you were not alone!

 

I do wish you had joined us friday night!  It would have been nice to meet!

That sucks....saw many people walking it in on the Drive. Hopefully it will be better next year. Surprised you couldnt just find a tube, a pump, whatever with all the stuff that kept flying off people's bikes.

The homeless around LSD now have enough water bottles, aero sponges, tubes, and tools to open their own bike shop.

Damn!  Sorry to hear about that.  Good to hear you towed the starting line.  You don't need CO2 or tubes for a race.  Just some stuff called Vittoria Pit Stop is all you need.  Oh well, next time, with a vengeance.
