Swim
Comments: How the heck do you get around other swimmers when you can't even see? The water was murky, and I kept whacking the guy in front of me in the legs. I tried to go outside, hit him, inside, hit him, got frustrated and just tried not to hit him anymore. What would you do differently?: Learn to pass! Transition 1
Comments: No transition times, everything was done with handheld computers. I was amazed at how tired I already was! What would you do differently?: Practice transitions Bike
Comments: Got passed by some really fast people! Holy cats, how do you go that fast? As Rob says, "go faster".... What would you do differently?: Go faster and drink more! Transition 2
Comments: Again, no transition times, all included in swim/bike/run times, I assume. Mom and Dad were at the end of the bike portion, was cool to hear them shouting for me. :) What would you do differently?: Just go faster, and not park my bike on top of the stuff on the other side of the rack (the lady made a comment after the race, I felt pretty dumb) Run
Comments: Slow, couldn't find my groove for a long time. Who didn't pass me during the run? Geez..... it was obviously the worst part, and I struggled the entire time. :( What would you do differently?: More preparation! Post race
Warm down: Walked and talked to Mom and Dad. Did a little stretching What limited your ability to perform faster: Just being slow in the first place. Event comments: Great race, had a great time. My first Tri! Woo hoooooo! Last updated: 2008-01-01 12:00 AM

Stayed at mom and dad's the night before. Woke up, ran thru my yoga routine, ate cereal/banana/powerbar, and got my gear loaded in the car. Drove over to the Y, unloaded, sort of helped Suz with her front tire (but not really much at all), got marked up (#3!), and tried to relax.
Walked around a bit, wanted to do more, but just didn't have time. We were in the first wave, so we started in the water. I doused myself a couple times, so it wouldn't be too much of a shock
