Run
Comments: This was a super tough race. My legs still felt like garbage from the prior weekend's half iron race. My calves were still super tight. Went into it just thinking if you got the legs run hard. If not just hang back and get a 10k in for the day. The gun went off and I knew I wanted to run hard. The finishing order happened in the first few minutes into the race. The start pace was really hot, but after the first hill most of the fodder was gone. Stayed on top my legs on the downhills and drilled the uphills. Saw Meg at a turn around point. She looked awesome so I gave her the low 5 and a smile. Last hill going into the finish was tough, but I had a large gap to sixth place so hung in. What would you do differently?: All things considered not a thing. Post race
Warm down: Chilled out, stretched, and waited for my girl to come in. What limited your ability to perform faster: Running on beat up legs. Event comments: Great race on a cool island. Tough course. I'd do it again. Last updated: 2008-07-13 12:00 AM
