Icky swim. TONS of seaweed churned up from the storms. Tide was out, so many people were walking the swim and throwing back plantlife. I can't wait to see my swim pic. I came out of the water looking like the lochness monster with seaweed hanging off my head. Sexy!

Had an issue with my helmet. The strap was twisted, so I ended up riding with it choking me!

Took a gel while I got my shoes on today. First time to try a gel in T1

Not choke myself.

I felt like a rockstar on the bike today. It just felt good and I passed tons of people. Never got passed back.

Nothing.

Had a hard time getting my socks on. Tons of sand on my feet.

Have water to wash

Felt better running today. Because of the sandy feet, I got a blister on my right heel. I tried to slow my running pace to be more consistent and walk less. Ended up walking the water stations and running pretty much the rest.

Run Harder, Faster, Longer

Stood under the shower to cool off, then put my gear in the truck, found Jeff and waited for awards.


This was my 4th anniversary for triathlon today. 4 years ago Sue and I did this as our first race, and it's been my favorite ever since!!

1st Athena today. 2nd overall for the series. A big, fat PR by 4 minutes. WOO HOO!! And, a Gator win to follow it up. It doesn't get any better than that!! :)
